These terms of service ("terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("user" or "you") and Manto ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Manto platform, marketplace, and associated services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Description of service

Manto provides an artificial intelligence-driven productivity platform designed to assist professionals in their daily workflows. Manto processes user inputs to generate structured outputs, playbooks, and insights.

  • Human agency: Manto is a tool to assist, not replace, professional judgement. In accordance with the EU AI Act, users are responsible for the final review and implementation of any AI-generated content.

  • No training: We do not use your proprietary data to train our underlying models. Your inputs remain your intellectual property.

2. Subscription and payment terms

Manto operates on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) basis. By subscribing to Manto, you agree to the following:

  • Billing cycles: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis.

  • Automatic renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

  • Payment processing: All payments are handled via secure third-party processors. Manto does not store full credit card details on its servers.

  • Refunds: Except as required by local consumer law (including the EU 14-day withdrawal period for digital services, provided the service has not been fully performed), all fees are non-refundable.

3. The Manto marketplace

Manto provides a marketplace where users can purchase "playbooks" and specialized content from external partners (e.g., industry thought leaders).

  • Partner status: Marketplace partners are independent third parties and are not employees or agents of Manto.

  • Approval-based charging: Charges for marketplace content occur only after the partner has verified and approved the specific version of the content for distribution. You will be notified of the cost prior to any transaction.

  • License to use: When you purchase marketplace content, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for your internal professional use only. Resale or public distribution of marketplace playbooks is strictly prohibited.

4. Limitation of liability and disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including EU consumer protection and US state laws), Manto’s liability is limited as follows:

  • "As is" service: Manto and its marketplace content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

  • No professional advice: Manto is not a licensed legal, financial, or medical advisor. AI-generated outputs and partner playbooks are for informational purposes only.

  • Liability cap: Manto’s total liability for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by the user to Manto in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

  • External content: Manto assumes no liability for the accuracy, legality, or utility of content provided by external marketplace partners. Any disputes regarding the substance of a playbook must be resolved directly with the partner.

5. Intellectual property

  • User content: You retain all ownership rights to the data and prompts you input into Manto.

  • Manto property: The Manto interface, brand, software, and proprietary algorithms remain the exclusive property of Manto.

  • Feedback: Any feedback provided to Manto regarding the platform may be used by us without obligation or compensation to the user.

6. Acceptable use and conduct

You agree not to use Manto for:

  • Any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.

  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the platform.

  • Generating content that violates the EU AI Act's prohibitions on manipulative or exploitative AI practices.

  • Impersonating others or misrepresenting your professional credentials.

7. Termination

Manto reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, without notice, if you violate these terms or if your actions pose a security risk to the platform or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

  • EU users: These terms are governed by the laws of the member state in which you reside. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

  • US and international users: These terms are governed by the laws of [Insert State/Country, e.g., Delaware or The Netherlands], without regard to conflict of law principles.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service or regulatory requirements. We will notify you of any material changes via email or through the Manto platform. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
